As one era of Black Panther comics ends, another is about to begin. ended 2022 by breaking the news that Academy Award winner John Ridley was exiting Black Panther with Issue #15 in March. The current story arc of Black Panther, titled "All This and The World, Too," revealed that T'Challa's childhood best friend, Jhai, is the person behind his sleeper agents being exposed, which led to his exile from Wakanda and the country's civil war. While we don't know how that story arc will end, we now know the creative team stepping in for a new volume of Black Panther. can exclusively reveal that the new creative team on Black Panther is writer Eve L. Ewing (Ironheart, Monica Rambeau: Photon) and 2023 Marvel's Stormbreakers artist Chris Allen (Miles Morales: Spider-Man). Black Panther is relaunching with a new #1 issue later this year.

The four-issue The Seasons Have Teeth comes from creators Dan Watters (known for his Lucifer and Arkham City work at DC, as well as Image’s Home Sick Pilots) and Sebastián Cabrol (who worked on the Anthony Bourdain-written Hungry Ghosts), and takes place in a world where seasons aren’t just periods of time or changing weather systems, but something altogether more terrifying… and potentially glorious.

The publisher’s advance description of the title runs as follows: “In a drab, colorless world, the seasons bring change. Andrew, a retired conflict photographer, lives a life steeped in regret, pain, and sorrow. When the seasons arrive–each one embodied as powerful god-like creatures–everything for Andrew begins to change. As he risks everything to track down Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter, he can’t help but hope that capturing the perfect picture of each will help him find his redemption…and maybe–just maybe–bring color back to his world.”

"Dan has created an incredible landscape filled with both mystical and earthly creatures,” says Cabrol, via a statement from the publisher. “It's a unique take on something so marvelous as the idea of wild and sentient seasons. As an artist I’m having a great time exploring this world."

Watters adds, “I'm overjoyed to be writing this book for Sebastián. From the dark depths of winter to the joys of summer, he brings such wonderful nuance to both human emotion and monsters — and in The Seasons Have Teeth we are bringing you both in abundance.”

The series will launch in April 2023.

Is the dark side stronger? Darth Vader certainly seems to think so. is thrilled to announce a new Marvel miniseries featuring the Dark Lord of the Sith, Star Wars: Darth Vader – Black, White & Red, with your first look at the cover of issue #1 from artist Alex Maleev.

The four-issue comic anthology — an extension of the popular Black, White & Blood series that has followed the histories of other fan-favorite characters like Wolverine, Deadpool, and Moon Knight — will include stories written and illustrated by a team of renowned authors and artists, including a four-part story penned by Jason Aaron. Aaron previously wrote the first installment in the relaunch of the Star Wars flagship comic series in 2015 and the Sith-centered Vader Down the following year.

One Vader quote from the spinoff ranks among the writer’s all-time favorite lines: "All I am surrounded by is fear. And dead men."

“That moment from Vader Down is still one of my favorite things I've written during my time at Marvel,” Aaron tells “I loved getting to let Darth Vader cut loose with all his power in such an epic way. I couldn't pass up the chance to revel in the dark side again and put Vader in an even more perilous situation... and then see how he carves his way out.”

The newly-released Lazarus Planet: Assault on Krypton #1 makes it clear that the groundbreaking character of Nia Nal/Dreamer is in the DC Universe to stay -- and writer Nicole Maines, who first brought the character to life on The CW's Supergirl, couldn't be more excited.

Ahead of the release of Assault on Krypton #1, Maines sat down for an exclusive interview with CBR alongside co-writer Leah Williams. When asked what it was like to get to write Dreamer into the larger DCU and put her on such a big stage, Maines replied, "It's so exciting for me. It, first of all, imbues me with a lot of hope because there was a time when I was very afraid for the success of this character."

It was also in 2021 that Maines brought Dreamer to the world of comics, penning a story starring the character for that year's DC Pride anthology. Notably, however, said story, titled "Date Night," was still set within Arrowverse continuity. Dreamer made her proper DCU debut one year later in Superman: Son of Kal-El #13, with Maines co-writing the issue alongside regular series writer Tom Taylor. Lazarus Planet marks Dreamer's latest adventure as a member of mainstream DC continuity. The character is also due for a return to the Arrowverse, with Maines confirmed to be reprising her role as Nia Nal in the upcoming ninth and final season of The Flash on The CW.

This June, Loki will unleash his unique brand of mayhem on the Marvel Universe again as he takes center stage in a brand-new solo series! LOKI will be a four-issue limited series written by Dan Watters (Sword of Azrael, Arkham City) in his exciting Marvel Comics debut and drawn by acclaimed artist Germán Peralta (BLACK PANTHER, MAESTRO).

This exciting new chapter for the God of Stories will introduce a collection of ancient Norse weapons Loki crafted in his mischievous past. When they’re scattered throughout the realms, including Nidavellir, Kree space, and Earth, Loki must track them down to prevent them falling into the wrong hands. Throughout this twisting journey, readers will see Loki go head-to-head with iconic Marvel villains, provoke Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and be forced to confront the dark truth that lies at his center.

"It’s hard to say what a delight it is to be making my Marvel debut, even more so to be doing it with the God of Stories himself—taking him all the way around the Marvel Universe and back again,” Watters shared. “I can’t wait for all to see the beauty Germán’s art is breathing into this tale we have to tell you, full of magic, danger—and if Loki can’t help himself (he can’t)—quite a smidge of mischief."

“Loki is one of the most interesting characters, not only in comics, but also in mythology, and his ambiguity in all aspects of his life makes him a very interesting character for an artist,” Peralta said. “I always say that I really enjoy drawing villains, but LOKI has everything. It was ‘love at first sight’ when I read the script. Dan is amazing, and I'm sure he's having a lot of fun with it too. I can't wait to draw Loki’s expressions, since there are always double intentions with him, and it's going to be very entertaining to play with that, as well as everything related to his universe. Having the opportunity to draw LOKI is undoubtedly a beautiful way to start the year. It's going to be a road full of challenges, but I'm sure it's going to be a great journey.”

Back when Logan was still learning what it meant to be an X-Man and Johnny was still reeling from his demonic transformation, the pair fought side by side against a terrifying supernatural threat.

Now, in the present, Wolverine is on the run after the shocking events of FALL OF X, while Johnny is following a path of destruction. Their paths will collide again when their past enemy resurfaces deadlier than ever! Do Ghost Rider and Wolverine have what it takes to put them down once more? And what secrets will they uncover when their hunt leads them to an ultra-secret and hellish branch of the infamous Weapon Plus program?! “Wolverine is metal. Ghost Rider is metal. Together, their adamantium and chrome weigh in as HEAVY METAL!” Percy explained. “You know how Metallica and Iron Maiden have toured together, shredded out songs, wailed on music videos? This is a little like that. I write the sheet music that Geoff Shaw brings to pyrotechnic, guitar-smashing life. You're in for a head-banging good time, I promise.”
